Played for a very long time. Took a break some time in the late 90's and stayed playing again shortly after the release of 5e. Currently playing 5.5e with an online group of friends. I'm system agnostic as long as its a friendly group. I lean into rp and silly voices because it's fun but also play with a semi tactical group that don't rp so much. I'm open to most group types. Lean away from "in game romances" and the like because it can lead to uncomfortable situations at the table. Have a very live and let live view on most things. Neuro spicy (adhd) with a neuro spicy family.

Getting a little group together for Draw Steel, and I'm looking for some players to join us! Draw steel a fantasy TTRPG similar to D&D, but it's a little smoother and more cinematic, and a little less crunchy. I think the combat is best summed up by the tagline "Draw Steel heroes worry about monstrous villainy and perfidious treachery, not spell slots or armor class." As for my GM style, I'm big on the roleplay, improv, comedy, and community aspects of TTRPGs. I do all the silly voices, I run with all the inside jokes, I let players go off on all the crazy tangents - If I haven't thrown my prep out of the window and made up a new religion 2 hours in, we're doing it wrong. As for the current group, there's 3 of us, looking to increase that to 4 or 5. We're looking to run a weekly game in Ryhope, Seaham, or Sunderland. Sessions will be somewhere between 2 and 5 hours per session, depending on the group, and days/times are fairly flexible. Me: Wes, 54, male, caucasian British., from Baschurch. Games enjoyed: D&D /AD&D (OSR, 5e, 3.0/3.5e not played in some time) limited Cyberpunk, Shadowrun (but I find it rules heavy), Traveller, Warhammer ttrpg,, Call of Cthulhu-Pulp. Interested in but havent played Castles and Crusades, Nimble, Symbaroum and Fantasy Flight Arkham Horror board game. I prefer old school facing ttrpg's, math rocks and monsters style. I'm not a grognard but I dont do politics and such like at the table, these are personal issues. Not into animal based characters (fang-fur-scale-feather) except dragonborn, therere cool. I play for fun. Haven't played in a group for years. Might be nice to hang out with some guys and gals from the 80's-90's era. I have played warhammer wargaming and Magic the Gathering but Im done chasing the dragon on those games and with Hasbro/WOTC and GW, detestable companies.

Complete beginner here never played D&D, but I've wanted to give it a go for ages. Based in Emmer Green I'm after a friendly, relaxed group to learn the ropes with, meeting weekly or fortnightly. I'm a parent looking to get out of the house, meet new people and have a bit of fun with the storytelling and roleplay side of things.
