My partner (41m) and I (39f) are looking for a new DnD group - to start or to join - and make friends. We've just finished a 3 year campaign, which my partner GMed. He would like to be a player but wouldn't mind GMing again. For a short campaign or one-shot I would also like to try my hand as a GM sometime. We would be looking to play in person Sundays or Friday evenings, ideally on a weekly-ish basis, but schedules can get stupid busy, so happy to do fortnightly or even once per month. We have played Call of Cthulu and DnD 5e with freely available sources (core rulebooks), but are happy to explore other High Fantasy systems. As we are based in Darlington, we would ideally be looking for fellow adventurers in Darlington or around a 20ish minute drive away. We're always happy to host, but are equally open to taking turns, or to regularly venture out to other places if that is a requirement (eg if there are access needs that have to be accommodated, or if someone has pets that can't be left alone, etc.). From experience it's always good to meet for coffee or something for a general vibe and expectation check before committing to anything longer term (worse than dating, I know, but it's honestly better to have a chat about what is expected of the game and how it's been approached in the past, and potentially realising that expectations don't align before jumping in and being really disappointed).

(Lets try to organise something, reade past the introduction please) Hello all (i’m male, mid 30s, bearded, lazy) I've been into TTRPGS for the last 7 years, and over the last few have been a regular DM. All my experience has been online apart from 2 games at Comic Con this year, and I really want to play in person for a change. So here is the idea. If you live in Wall heath or don't mind traveling in, want to play in person, any level of skill welcome (adults only please), send me a message and if I can get enough people together I'll find a location (I doubt anyone wants a bunch of strangers appearing in their house) and while I can't promise i'm the best, I can at least promise to try to get everyone to have fun. 30yo Exclusively a DM/GM. I have played one long running campaign with family. Mostly have run at home 1:1 campaigns with my wife. Playing home brew games and also 5e(2014). Looking for GMs or players willing to occasionally GM near Sunderland/Durham. - I have a group of 3 or 4 players together now (we're 25-35yo, based in Seaham, Ryhope, Sunderland) - we're thinking of doing something where we each take it it turns to run short games (3-12 sessions, longer if you're comfy with it) so that everyone gets a chance to play and learn GMing in a lighthearted and low-pressure environment. We're all kinda tired with D&D, so we're wanting to try out some different systems (WoD, Daggerheart, Roll4shoes, Draw Steel, etc.) and see how we get on with those :) - If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, please reach out! We're also open to full-time GMs. - I also have a 3D printer and some decent modelling skills, so I can make some minis for the longer games ^.^
