Hi! I've wanted to play tabletop D&D for years and finally decided to give it a go. I've played a session of D&D 5e before and have experience with games like Baldur's Gate and the Pathfinder video games, so I know the basics but I'm still learning. I'm looking for a friendly, welcoming group for a long-term campaign with a good mix of roleplay, combat, and fun. I'm LGBTQ+ and LGBTQ+ friendly, and I'm hoping to meet some great people while enjoying some memorable adventures.

I'm a D&D player of reasonable experience (close to a decade give or take) recruiting for players on behalf of a DM that's been playing a little longer than me for a new campaign we're trying to get off the ground revolving around the mythos of ancient Greece in a world where people can strive towards challenging the gods themselves and those who've usurped their titles for their power. It will be a very slow burn campaign, starting at Level 2 and working our way up from there, currently scoping out to gauge interest from others looking to participate.

I've only played a few ttrpg with friends and family, and even then it's been almost 20 years now since I've last played (in college, and now 37): D&D - last ruleset played was 3rd edition when d20 system was introduced, Warcraft ttrpg - 2nd edition (only briefly), S.L.A Industries - 1st edition. I'm not the most confident of people (ASD), so beginner groups or those not requiring serious performances (can still think and take actions as a character would, just can't act out their persona) Ideally would like to find a group for D&D using core set rules or close to them rather than full homebrew
