I played D&D at school about 50 years ago, and have in the last year started playing again. I have been the DM and a long time friend from Reading has been the only player. It is a struggle managing multiple characters, but we have had plenty of fun too. I was hoping that there may be other players locally in a similar position, and perhaps we could try sharing a game. I have also invested in other game systems, such as Star Wars RPG, Pathfinder, Starfinder, Traveller, Call of Cthulhu, Flames of War, Bolt Action, etc, although I have not actually played any of those Games yet! I am interested in any fantasy or science fiction RPG, even if only as a newbie.

Me and my Partner are 25/26. My partner he really wants to do dnd for a while. I also would like to. We both have never played before and if I’m honest I don’t fully understand but we both love the idea of role playing and really would like to try it out. Like I say we’re beginners so would be great for someone to sit down with us and help us with the basics of even character building and such. I’m a forever DM who has recently moved to Cheltenham from Canada, and I’m looking to assemble a new gaming group for in-person sessions if possible. I usually run homebrew campaign settings in 5th edition D&D, but I also dabble in other gaming systems (Pathfinder/Starfinder, Warhammer RPG, Daggerheart, etc) depending on what everyone is into. My games tend to be story and RP heavy, and lighter on combat but I’m generally open to almost any setting or theme.

GM for 30 years, newly started a roleplay group, playing Saturday fortnightly at the Aldershot games shop. This is not a D&D group, we use a light rules system in a homebrewed world that is dark, gritty low fantasy. I have three players, open to having a few more. The players have some leeway to be creative with their background and the parts of the world they are from, so they can invest in building the world, and in narrating part of their own adventure. What's important to me is that players can commit and want to roleplay in a the game I've described. Magic is not a common part of the game, while it is fantastical, magic is special and surprising. I've GM'd many systems over many years, and run many long lasting campaigns. It's totally possible we might branch out and have other campaigns running. I'm interested in scifi (particularly Traveller or Star Wars) too.
