I am currently getting into FKR (Free Kriegsspiel Renaissance) as well. I value participation and creativity over strict rule adherence. If you have wanted to give TTRPGs a try and are sick of the commercialism of DnD please contact me, always happy to introduce players to a different way of playing (where you don't need to spend 100+ on books filled with AI art) Games I run include: GURPS lite, Paranoia, Cepheus Engine, Hostile, Traveller, Dungeon Crawl Classics, Mutant Futures, Honey Heist, Mothership, Delta Green, Mythras, Freeform Universal, IronSworn Starforged, Cyberpunk 2020, Fuzion, Hero System, Shadowrun (2e/3e). But I mostly run things in an OSR way - rulings over rules.
