My partner (31 NB) and I (31 F) are looking to join a local D&D group. This is starting to sound like a poor dating profile, but bear with us. We have no prior experience, other than one solo session that we got roped into (and rather enjoyed). We’d like to explore the world of D&D with likeminded individuals, who want a good story, but also a few laughs. Ideally, we’d like to stay local in Darlington, however close surrounding areas are fine too. Sundays would also be preferable. We would love to meet up and grab a coffee to get to know one another. For common ground, we’re gamers, cat lovers and easy-going. One of us hit 30 and turned into an avid bird watcher, and the other makes being an 80 year old grandma their personality. I’ll let you guess who.

Hi. Im a 37 year old man who's recently been quite interested in joining a dnd game. I have read extensively about rules and character builds, so am hopefully not too new to be annoying at the table. That said I have never played a game before, so would probably need a bit of time to acclimat. I would like to join a game that is less heavy on the overt roleplaying, such as acting out scenes and building deep character interplay, and more focused on game mechanics and problem solving. Again, that said I'm nit against any roleplay at all, I just don't I as my main focus in a game.
