Pretty new player (still learning the ropes, but my in-theory knowledge of the game is growing fast) looking to get into (or maybe help start) a regular in-person D&D tabletop group. Not got much in the way of resources, but am very enthusiastic about the game and am very imaginative (I write sword & sorcery style high fantasy fiction in my spare time), with lots of ideas that I would be willing to offer up to a DM looking to start a fresh campaign, so I'm looking out for like-minded players and/or a DM to help take me further.

Hi! I’m based in Selby (UK) and I’m looking to join a D&D group, either online or local. I’m a seafarer and currently ashore for at least the next three months, so I’m very flexible and available when it comes to scheduling. I’ve played a couple of one-shots, but I wouldn’t consider myself a new player. I’ve been interested in D&D for a long time and know the rules well, having spent a lot of time reading the rulesets for fun — especially while at sea when other entertainment options are limited. In terms of playstyle, I enjoy games with a moderate pace where each session feels meaningful and the adventure is clearly moving forward. I especially like thinking through scenarios, problem-solving, and tackling challenges or puzzles, with combat second and roleplay third. That said, I’m very easygoing and happy to adapt to a group’s preferences. I’m mainly looking for a friendly, inclusive group and a good sense of bonding at the table. I’m a passionate player who enjoys putting effort into their character and the game, but I don’t expect or pressure others to play the same way — having fun together is the priority.

I played 8 months of a mostly weekly unfinished 5e campaign in 2019. I am a fan of live play shows, especially Dimension 20. Currently listening to NADDPod and Critical Role Campaign 4. Looking to become more familiar with the game and exercise my rusty role play. Interested in learning to DM, but too new to want to jump in at the deep end.
