Guildford Gamers (Guildford)
We're a laid-back and welcoming crowd that regularly meet up on Tuesdays at 6.30pm at the Guildford Institute. We do, however, have to cover the cost of room hire via a fee, so please check out the "More Information" section below regarding our rates. It's a wonderful place with top-notch facilities, such as proper seating, tables, and lighting (much better than an average pub!). While they serve snacks and drinks, you'll need to arrange dinner beforehand or after on your own. Our go-to type of games is mostly Euro-style; sorry, no CCGs, RPGs, or full-on wargames! We play a mix of classic and current titles like Ticket to Ride, Lords of Waterdeep, Stone Age, Puerto Rico, St Petersburg, Power Grid, and Brass – just take a gander through the session reports in the forum below for an idea of what we like to play. If there's one particular game you have in mind, feel free to bring it or make a request. We'd like to invite new members and help out those just beginning to explore the wonderful world of boardgaming. Drop us a note about your experience (if any) so we can get you properly introduced to our pastimes. We're punctual but if you arrive late (after 7 pm), please let us know so we can plan the games according to everyone's time and make sure we can fit in the longer titles. We usually manage up to two titles each. For more information, check our Meetup page or the local forum. You can also contact one of our key organizers through GeekMail: Gary Duke (Gary Duke) from Fleet, Hampshire or surendra singh (sevy) from La Rochelle, Charente-Maritime and Nina A (NinaAlphey) from Guildford, England. We look forward to seeing you around!
