Hi! I'm David, 42 years old, he/him, and I've been playing and loving TTRPGs (and RPGs in general) for the past 28years. I've played every iteration of D&D except the OG, and I've run one-shots and campaigns using 3E, 3.5, 4E and 5E; I played Pathfinder (First Edition) during the "4E is not D&D" era, and have been looking into Second Edition during the pandemic. I love PbtA (with Monster of the Week and City of Mist being my favourites), I have dabbled in the Storytelling system (Vampire: the Masquerade & Werewolf: the Apocalypse) and the New World of Darkness (Werewolf: The Forsaken & Mage: The Awakening), and I've tried or tried to run several other systems & rulesets (e.g., Cypher system, Tiny D6, 13th Age, Fantasy A.G.E., A Song of Ice & Fire RPG, and I'm sure a few others that I honestly cannot remember at the moment.). Recently, I picked up Dagferheart, which has become an instant favourite. I’d love to either join a group as a player or, even better, run a game: as a GM, I love “straight to business” combat scenarios as one shots (even at high levels, yes: level 15-20 combat is awesome, if it’s the focus of the session), running published modules (I have several on D&DBeyond that are waiting to be tackled) or, if the group wants to, start character-driven narrative campaigns in any published setting (with Eberron and Exandria being my favourite ones).
