I played dnd for about a year while at university so my knowledge is still quite basic, I think we played the 5e edition? I like gameplay that is quite relaxed, I really enjoy the story/roleplay element, I’d say a bit more than the combat. I really enjoy the combat and rolls and all but enjoy a story centred game with interesting lore. I also prefer players who are a bit relaxed so the game feels more casual as opposed to high stakes and incredibly serious. I like to be able to talk and joke around while we play
