New to Derby, keen to form or join an in person weekday evening type group to meet people and have a nice fun weeknight thing to look forward to. In my 30s, been playing since a little before 5e came out. I've played a fair few systems and oscillate wildly on whether I prefer playing or gming, so would be happy to run or play. When I GM, I find 5E hard to run and love to explore other systems/games, like Numenera/cypher system (weird science fantasy), Delta Green (x files investigate cthulhu), OSR games, powered by the apocalypse and more. I'm currently trying to write the beginnings of a climate fiction cyberpunk heist campaign using forged in the dark.

The pitch? Rumours spread of a mysterious area, filled with unexplainable phenomena, near the village of Ilmenton. In a rush for riches, power and science, people descend upon Ilemnton in droves. The adventurers may have different motivations for coming to Ilmenton; however, a series of suspicious incidents lead them closer and closer to "the Belt". Hey, I'm 18 almost 19, I'm looking to actually getting into ttrpgs i have never actually been able to do anything with em before but i have been into ttrpgs for a while through real play podcasts (tales from the stinky dragon & dungeons and daddies being my favourite) and gaming (like baldurs gate) Id love to get a in with a group of beginners and do something every week or two, it would be nice to get to know some people with similar interests too!

I am a 23 year old DND enjoyer, I have DM'd for a while and played a couple times, i'm quite experienced in 5E and know most about 5.5E, I can be a bit of a rules lawyer but am wanting to find a group to play with as I do not want to be a forever DM anymore, I can get to most places in Chesterfield mostly by walking, the town center would be the easiest for me but if you ask I can check if the locale is doable, I can also play whatever class the group decides but have a preference for a Warlock/Bard multiclass most of the time, sometimes just full Warlock
