Hi! I've just taken early retirement and am getting back into GMing role playing games after 25 years of work getting in the way (think Middle Earth crossed with Westeros for a sense of the 'feel'). I'm starting up a group and have the first player but still have seats available; the game will likely be on a Tuesday evening, the location will be a gaming shop in Colne. The game will be suitable for both beginners and experienced players; I want to keep the group smallish (4 players) so everyone gets the most out of their time at the table. The game system will be Rolemaster rules but will likely feature D&D modules as part of the overall experience. LHi, I’m based in Burnley. I’m new to D&D and tabletop games in general, and I’m looking for a beginner-friendly group. I’m queer, so I’m specifically looking for an LGBTQ+-friendly / inclusive group where I’ll be comfortable. In D&D, I’d love to try a Paladin character who is actually very cowardly. He doesn’t use weapons — only a shield. He’s scared most of the time, but he has a big heart and wants to protect his friends. I’m also open to learning other tabletop or card games.

Late 40s male, quietly nerdy behind a veil of respectability and professionalism. I'm into board games more than RPGs and am looking for either an established small group or another single person for regular game sessions (potentially day or night possible). By necessity I have been an exclusively solo player (the other half isn't interested!) but now am looking further afield for fellow adventurers. Despite not being into RPGs, I use the term 'adventurers' as the board games I have acquired are largely long campaign games, many of them being narrative-driven and fantasy/horror/sci-fi, E.g. Middara, Gloomhaven, Chronicles of Drunagor, Roll Player Adventures, Descent 2nd Ed, Descent Legends of the Dark, Deep Madness, Machina Arcana, Folklore, Perdition's Mouth, Memento Mori and there are loads more. I'm also especially looking for someone who may be interested in trying out Kingdom Death: Monster with me. I do have a number of other single session games such as Scythe, Spirit Island, Defenders of the Wild, Dwellings of Eldervale, The Others and Lost Ruins of Arnak so I'm not purely looking for those willing to commit to multiple session campaigns. Although I am more than willing to bring along anything in my collection, I don't find myself in a position to host sessions at my house so would be hoping to hear from someone/people who can.
