Hello to any of my fellow TTRPG gaming geeks! I am a middle-aged man, a 45 year old man-child looking to find a like-minded gaming group to play some kind of tabletop role playing adventure game. I never knew these types of games even existed for 40 of those years, but was introduced to the Glass Cannon podcast at the outset of the pandemic and fell in love with TTRPGs overnight. Anyone else a Glass Cannon groupie? Happy to play Pathfinder (1e or 2e), Starfinder, D&D, Call of Cthulu, Delta Green, Traveller, Pendragon, Vampire The Masquerade, Dune, Star Wars or any other similar style RPG. I have DM/GM'd multiple times in the past in order to just play, but to be honest I would rather be a player and let someone else drive the bus for once. Hopefully there are some similarly minded folks out there willing to give me a shot. Would like to play once a fortnight or even once a month. Here's hoping.

Looking to sound out if there is any interest to set up a base for a war gaming community in Bishops Stortford Hertfordshire. The brewery where I work, The Belgian Brewer, has a large event space plus a Taproom that would be ideal for meets/gaming/modelling etc. We have the bonus of craft bier brewed on site, full bar and food available. Just got back into Warhammer Fantasy myself (The Old World) after a long break. Looking to get back into playing again and also hoping to improve (much improvement needed) on my painting and modelling ability.

Greetings fellow dungeon delvers! I'm a DM looking for a bunch of enthusiastic, RP lovin' adventurers to embark on a new D&D 5e journey together... right here in Bishop's Stortford! We'll focus on light-hearted roleplay with plenty of opportunities to shape the story as we go. My DM style: I include plenty of character development and RP (but try ensure the spotlight is shared). Give me 5 pages of PC backstory and it will come up in game. Long-lost brother? Showing up. Dead lover? Definitely showing up. Running feud with another family? Guess who's giving your next quest? Newbies absolutely welcome: If you're new to 5e, but dying to try out that new accent you've been secretly working on when nobody else is around, then this is the group for you! Behaviour and table etiquette: I like to keep things pretty relaxed, but it’s important to me that everyone feels comfortable at the table. So, before we dive in, here are a few ground rules we’ll set before session 0: - DM ruling is final, we keep the game moving and pause for the occasional rule check. - No premature dice rolls: Player describes their character actions, DM calls for appropriate dice rolls. - Patience and kindness: Be willing to help others at the table. - No PvP (i.e. no rolling against one another). - Phones and other digital devices: Let's keep it about the game. Device use is discouraged unless it's for character sheets, the odd rule check. Urgent or important calls should be taken away from the table. - Disruptive topics: Be respectful. No need to discuss politics, sex, religion etc. DM vitos any uncomfortable topics of conversation. - No Min/Maxing, obsessive number-crunching or obnoxious system abuse. Time & Location: The exact time and location are still to be determined, but it'll be somewhere local in Bishop's Stortford. Age: Adults only, please.
