I’m a 38-year-old board gamer with a fairly extensive collection and a strong interest in medium to medium-heavy games. I’m particularly drawn to thematic titles—Norse or Greek mythology, epic conflicts, large-scale structures (e.g., Great Wall–style settings), and boss-battle style gameplay all appeal to me. Mechanics I especially enjoy include worker placement, area control/area majority, deck building, pick-up-and-deliver, and puzzle-oriented systems. I’m generally open to most board game styles, but I’m not a fan of party games, social deduction, hidden-role, or detective-style games. I’m hoping to find a regular group for weekly game nights, hosted at my place in Maghull North.
